tHE CHOOKHOUSE sTORY
Chookhouse is home to Jennie and Rob and their many pets and animal friends. The Chookhouse has vast views over the western Downs, with glorious sunsets and a blanket of stars that twinkle in the night sky. This really is a special little farm for all to enjoy.
During the year, there are often baby animals to meet including chickens, kids, lambs, goslings and the beautiful pea chicks! There is an abundance of natural wildlife including parrots, owls, and native birds.
A number of years ago, Jennie and Rob decided to expand their grazing animals and now have three alpacas, three camels and a small number of cows.
THE FARM
Parents/grandparents/friends set up your camp area while the children are off playing in the playground.
Meet in the afternoon about 4pm to start the farm talk whilst heading down to feed the animals. You get to hand feed the Camels, Cows, Pigs, Sheep, Goats some bread which they all just love. Our Miss Piggy loves playing to our guests, she will even sit sometimes if asked. Our Bully just loves donuts.
We welcome you to have a fire for relaxing around and toasting those very important marshmallows. We do ask that you do not have roaring fires and that all fires are extinguished before retiring at night. If you have coals or ash that you need to get rid of, please see one of us and we will remove them for you. Please do not empty onto the ground or under our precious trees.
Please be aware that this a farm. We do have snakes in the summer months. We also have Grain Trains that pass by during the day and night. We also have the Steam Train occasionally.

Jennie and Rob made us feel at home during our stay and our boys loved helping to feed the animals. It truly was a great farm experience, right down to the cock-a-doodle-doo in the morning. Thanks again Rob and Jennie.

Absolutely brilliant! Great social set up for trailers, vans or tents. Clean & tidy amenities block. The animals are fabulous, we really enjoyed the pats, cuddles & daily feeding (remember your gumboots). The hosts are second to none, both going way out of their way to welcome & accommodate everyone

An amazing farm stay with Rob & Jennie who made us feel at home! The amount of different animals and bird life for the kids to interact with was incredible. Collecting eggs, baby cuddles and feed time was definitely a highlight for us all. Very clean amenities and hot showers. We will be back again!
